The Kibo+ comes equipped with the excellent Shimano Deore V brakes and levers but these can be upgraded to Paul Components' Motolite V brakes or the low profile Avid Shorty Ultimate cantilevers. The Deore V-brakes are great - reliable, easy to fix, adjust and maintain with replacements pads and parts available around the world, which is why we recommend these.
