Continental Grand Prix 4000s 28mm
These are Sean's favourite tyre and have served him well from both a speed perspective and puncture resistance.
The BlackChili compound remains in place on this new version. This provides improved grip in poor conditions, increased puncture protection and greater comfort. Conti have kept the Vectran Breaker for unsurpassed puncture protection, plus with advanced BlackChili compound for low rolling resistance and sensational grip. They are handmade in Germany. The extremely strong Vectran fabrics are more flexible and lighter than all other puncture protection materials. Vectran offers more resistance to cuts than Aramid, is five times as strong as steel and features less weight than a nylon double breaker. It also maintains strength in the wet. Continental have used their revolutionary Black Chili compound for the Grand Prix 4000 S II. The fact is that Black Chili improved tyre performance in all areas. It makes a tyre to last longer, yet also grip better and roll faster. Continental has also included their tread wear indicators so you don't prematurely replace tyres or even risk using your tyre beyond its service life. The standard for serious road cyclists, the Grand Prix 4000 S II provides long term performance and reliability. Put a set of these on your road bike and start feeling the difference.
Max Pressure: 120 PSI
Schwalbe Marathon G-One Speed (38c)
Unleashing profile and breathtakingly fast – especially when large volume counts. This is one of Schwalbe's fastest tyres. The max load on the 38mm wide tyre is 100kg so provides a good combination between load and speed.
Execution: MicroSkin, TLE, V-Guard
Pressure: 45 to 70psi
N.B. please only order either of these tyres as an upgrade when buying a Stanforth Conway bike. These are not available for purchase without the bike
