  • The Kibo Dirt Drop has a similar spec to the Kibo but has drop bars and bar end shifters.

The Kibo Dirt Drop is a British made 26" wheeled expedition bike with the frame and forks hand built by one of England’s top framebuilders, Lee Cooper.

The lugged frame is built using the strongest gauge of the air hardened Reynolds 631 steel tubing on the main triangle. The forks are also Reynolds 631. The chainstays are Reynolds 631 and the seatstays 525. We can build the framr with either a horizontal or sloping top tube.

The Dirt Drop comes equipped with Shimano's top touring compact triple chainset, the LX/XT level 10 speed T-551 44/32/24T, as well as a Deore XT rear derailleur, a Deore touring specific front derailleur and Microshift 10 speed bar-end shifters with a switchable friction/index right hand shifter controlling shifting of the rear cassette.

The brakes are Deore V brakes with Cane Creek V-brake drop levers, cantilevers are also an option, and TRP Spyke mechanical disc brakes are available as an upgrade.

The wheels are hand built using Ryde Andra 30 expedition rims with Deore 36 hole hubs. The tyres are the Marathon Plus Tour 26 x 2.0" expedition ready.

The ahead stem is our recommended for expedition touring, but if you prefer quill then we can build your frame with the narrower headtube and a 1" threaded steerer.
