Pamira Rohloff with Gates Belt
Inspired by the Pamir Highway traversing the Pamir mountains, the Pamira Rohloff is designed for loaded touring on rough roads.
The frame is handmade in England and has routing for both Rohloff and derailleur gearing with dropout inserts easily switchable between the two. The frame has a split to install the belt. The clearance for 27.5” x 2.35” tyres (or 700c x 2.1”) provide comfort and grip off the beaten path.
The current lead time from ordering your custom Stanforth to your bike being ready is 16-18 weeks.
The price includes custom sizing of your frame to best fit you. You can either visit our showroom for a fitting (no extra cost) or send us your measurements. Click here to arrange a fitting or for info on how to take the measurements.

It has bosses for front and rear racks as well as the 3 mount system on the forks for carry-anything cages. It also has bosses for 3 bottle cages and mounts for mudguards.

The favourite amongst many expeditionists is the Rohloff speedhub 500/14. It's chosen because of its ultimate reliability particularly in extreme environments where its protection of the gearing mechanism from sand, mud, salt and dirt is of real benefit.
We use the Rohloff Speedhub with an external gear mech. With the external gear mech the shifter cables run directly from the twist shifter to the cable box so a separate cable stop isn't necessary. For quick and easy removal of the rear wheel, the cable box can be removed from the external transfer box. The sealed gearbox ensures reliability and durability even under the toughest conditions.
The Rohloff hub is paired with the Gates CDX belt and Gates CDX sprockets, the more premium and durable version for touring.
As for bars there's a choice of the Geoff Loop bar or a black riser (30mm rise) along with a choice of Ergon or ESI chunky grips. Other bars are also available.
The brakes are the easy to maintain and great stopping power mechanical TRP Spyke disc brakes. Hydraulic disc brakes are also an option.
The wheels are handbuilt with XT hubs and a choice of rims - DT Swiss E512 rims, or Andra 40's for the ultimate toughness - all in a choice of 27.5" or 29".
Please note we can customise the spec e.g. dynamo hubs, different bars etc.

Changing your order
As long as construction of the frame hasn’t begun, or bespoke components or frame parts haven’t been ordered we will do what we can to accommodate the changes as we want you to have the ideal bike for you. If it’s too late to make the changes the reasonable additional charges will apply to make the changes, either for labour, frame parts or bike components.
Cancelling your order
Once you have placed an order you have made a commitment to purchase the bike. We then order the bike components (e.g. frame tubes, lugs, brakes etc) on your behalf to build the bike to your requirements. If a customer cancels the purchase once the order has been paid for we will keep the monies to cover the costs incurred. No frame or parts will be supplied to the customer in the event of cancellation, we only provide complete bikes to customers.
Returns Policy
Due to the fact that 1) there is no standard Stanforth bike as every bike is likely to be different with so many options, and 2) because all of our frames are made to order, we do not offer refunds for unwanted bikes or frames.
All of our bikes are made to order to your specific requirements so unfortunately they are non – refundable.
Faulty/damaged bikes
If your bike is faulty/damaged please email simon@stanforthbikes.co.uk with the following information:
- Your full name, date of purchase and the address the bike was delivered to
- The frame number (as written on the warranty) and confirmation of which bike/frame is coming back to us
We will then discuss with you the best way of fixing the problem, ideally through replacement parts being fitted by a bike technician local to you. Please do not send back to us without discussing it with us first.
We are unable to give a refund in these circumstances but we will make sure the problem is fixed.
