KIBO ROHLOFF DISC

The Kibo Rohloff Disc is the same as the Kibo Rohloff but with disc brakes.

Frame and fork

The frame will come with sliding inserts that are Rohloff & Disc specific for the rear dropouts. The fork will have disc specific Reynolds 631 fork blades with an IS disc mount

The brakes

The bike will be equipped with TRP Spyke mechanical disc brakes. It’s the best mechanical disc brake in our opinion.

The TRP Spyke is a dual sided mechanical brake where both pads actuate giving an even and precise clamping force. This translates into even pad wear.

The pads can be adjusted easily and independently with a 3mm allen key, as well as a simple cable barrel adjuster to adjust both the pads simultaneously.

On the Kibo Disc we pair the Spykes with a 180mm front rotor and 160mm at the rear.

Shimano Deore levers with compressionless cable housing ensure a quick and positive response.

The wheels

As per the Kibo Rohloff we use the Ryde Andra 30 36 hole rims, but the disc brake version. The Rohloff hub is disc specific enabling the rotor to be mounted to it. The front hub is a Shimano XT 36 hole for a six bolt rotor, unless you’re upgrading to a dynamo hub
