KIBO ROHLOFF DISC
The Kibo Rohloff is our flagship expedition bike. This is the disc version.
The price includes custom sizing of your frame to best fit you. You can either visit our showroom for a fitting (no extra cost) or send us your measurements. Click here to arrange a fitting or for info on how to take the measurements.
The current lead time from ordering your custom Stanforth to your bike being ready is 14-16 weeks.
The Kibo Rohloff is our flagship 26" wheel expedition bike of the Kibo range. 27.5" and 700c/29" are also available.
The Rohloff hub provides excellent reliability, durability as well as an exellent gear range. It really is the ultimate in gearing for cycle touring.
We use a Thorn chainset to ensure the perfect chainline for the Rohloff hub, along with a reversible Thorn chainring.
This is the disc version and comes equipped with the best of all mechanical disc brakes, the TRP Spykes.
As with all the Kibo’s, the Kibo Rohloff is a custom made expedition bike, with the frame and forks hand built in England.
The lugged frame is built using the strongest gauge of the air hardened Reynolds 631 steel tubing on the main triangle. The forks are also Reynolds 631. The chainstays are Reynolds 631 and the seatstays Reynolds 725. The frame has stainless steel sliding dropouts for chain tensioning the Rohloff hub.
The transmission consists of the Rohloff hub paired with the Thorn Rohloff chainset, and shifting is through the Rohloff twist shifter.
The handbuilt wheels use Andra 30 26" 36h disc rims, made for touring. The front hub is Shimano XT 36 hole 6 bolt disc, or you can upgrade to a dynamo hub.

We can also personalize in a number of ways – with drop bars, Rohloff gear ratios etc.
Either give us a call to discuss your Kibo Rohloff Disc, or even better arrange a visit to chat about your bike and have a fitting at our workshop in Hove.
Changing your order
As long as construction of the frame hasn’t begun, or bespoke components or frame parts haven’t been ordered we will do what we can to accommodate the changes as we want you to have the ideal bike for you. If it’s too late to make the changes the reasonable additional charges will apply to make the changes, either for labour, frame parts or bike components.
Cancelling your order
Once you have placed an order you have made a commitment to purchase the bike. We then order the bike components (e.g. frame tubes, lugs, brakes etc) on your behalf to build the bike to your requirements. If a customer cancels the purchase once the order has been paid for we will keep the monies to cover the costs incurred. No frame or parts will be supplied to the customer in the event of cancellation, we only provide complete bikes to customers.
Returns Policy
Due to the fact that 1) there is no standard Stanforth bike as every bike is likely to be different with so many options, and 2) because all of our frames are made to order, we do not offer refunds for unwanted bikes or frames.
All of our bikes are made to order to your specific requirements so unfortunately they are non – refundable.
Faulty/damaged bikes
If your bike is faulty/damaged please email simon@stanforthbikes.co.uk with the following information:
- Your full name, date of purchase and the address the bike was delivered to
- The frame number (as written on the warranty) and confirmation of which bike/frame is coming back to us
We will then discuss with you the best way of fixing the problem, ideally through replacement parts being fitted by a bike technician local to you. Please do not send back to us without discussing it with us first.
We are unable to give a refund in these circumstances but we will make sure the problem is fixed.
