The 2 x transmisison is the Deore M6000 38/28T with a 11-42 cassette at the rear giving an impressive gear inch range for a double at 18.5 inches in 1st gear to 95 inches with 27.5 x 2.35" tyres.

There are a few triple transmission options, The Shimano Deore T6000 26/36/48 with a Deore 11-36 cassette gives  20 to 121 gear inches or the Shimano T551 24/32/44 triple with a 11-36T Deore cassette give 18 - 111 gear inches.

The front and rear derailleurs are Shimano XT (Deore rear derailleur with 11-42T cassette). Shifting is controlled by Microshift thumbshifters.

Bottom bracket: The Shimano BB MT800 XT level BB with HollowTech II technology is our standard spec for the external bottom bracket. The sealed cups keep out dirt and water. These bottom brackets are maintenance free and much higher quality than the Deore version which is why we have up-specc'd this component. It has a durable anodised finish.
